I already have a GPU and the rest of the stuff. I'm wondering which mobo should I go with(or point me to one) for OC'ing the CPU and GPU. Overall is this a decent gaming computer? Did I select good quality parts?

Also anyone care to tell me about this c3 version PhemonII x4 955BE? What does this "c3" do?

I don't think I need a 6core cpu yet until games start updating to take full advantage of quad cores.

On the gig 880g board is there a stylish blue or white heatsink I can put on the FETs near the cpu? I know it's not needed, but still make the mobo look cooler. =D

Yeah, just throwing it out there as an option since its only ~$10 more than the 955+880g board.

As far as heatsinks...i know there are companies that make blue ones for the mosfets, but newegg doesnt have any of them. You can however get the copper enzotech ones:

790FX is most closely related to 890FX, it allows use of the SB8xx southbridges with features such as Sata III and USB 3.0 on the southbridge. 880g is most similar to the 790GX chipset. I have compiled a list of the different chipsets and the different features offered between them here:

Also, as far as crossfire support, the FX chipsets support x16/x16 for crossfire, while the 790X/880G/790GX support x8/x8 crossfire.
 
I do plan on doing 2 gpus in crossfire x16/x16 though so FX it is.

Is ASRock, biostar, and Foxconn good mobo brands? I been seeing pictures of people having these brands and they don't seem to have any issues with them.

All of them make some alright boards, and some not so great boards. Post specifically what boards you are looking at.

Foxconn GX= x8/x8, what cards do you plan on crossfiring though, because that really determines what you'll need.

Of those two FX boards, i would go with the ASRock, but bear in mind ASRock products have only a 1 year warranty.

Dude dont go for any Sony Drive...theyre crap,ive had two fail on me.....look at LG or another brand. :)

also....why not consider the new Phenom X6?
 
I don't see the point upgrading to a 6 core when games are now starting to take advantage of quad cores, but if I had the money I would. Also I'm not really in to getting up to date products. I like the build bomberboysk help me with the only thing i changed from it was the RAM and mobo.

I wouldnt buy anything but a sony drive...quality wise they are some of the best on the market, NEC chipsets, good lasers/motors, etc.

(Personal experiences on such stuff like computer components don't mean nearly as much as overall percentages for failure rates)
