Gaming Upgrade

Hey guys,

I'm thinking about upgrading my computer right now so ideally it can run Crysis on High / Very High (I know about some issues with running on very high without 64 bit vista but I don't really know the specifics...if someone could elaborate on that as well that would be great). My budget for an upgrade is around $500, but can be stretched a bit if necessary.

I figure if I can run Crysis on very high / high I can run pretty much any games now, and hopefully play most well for about 1-2 years from now, February 2009.

Right now my stats are:

ASUS SN32-E SLI Mobo (680i chipset)w/

e6600 (No OC) Processor

3 GB RAM

9800GTX + GPU

XP Service Pack 2

Zephyr 650 Power Supply

Any advice as to what to replace / add?

Thanks a lot guys!

What resolution you play at? A video card upgrade would probably be your best choice. You could buy another and SLI or jump to a totally new card. Also you could get a nice heatsink for your CPU and OC to get it`s maximum potential. You should not have a problem getting to atleast 3.2ghz. I read up on your powersupply and it is not bad but depending on what kind of video card you get it might be necessary to upgrade it (especially if you do OC)

Eh, silly me, I play on 1680 x 1050. Would another 9800GTX+ be powerful enough in SLI to run Crysis still? Would it be better to go to a quad processor or just OC mine?
