How in god's name do you use it?!?!?!?! I just downloaded it and I have no idea what I am doing. I would like to learn because I hear its good.
 
What do you mean? You install it, go into steam and run it, and then start up a new game
 
Ya but... what is the point?? I dont know what to do, the tutorials online didnt help at all! I start a new game at say, Aztec, then what should I do?? What can I do???
 
Well in the CS maps i think all you do is go around using the weapons of HL2, but if you play the HL2 chapters you get all the weapons and can kill friendly guys :P
 
I'm still kinda lost here (forgive me) but it says I can create my own kinda "game". How do I do that?
 
I see... I just went on some random server at a map called gm_construct or somethin and I just shot everything I saw and this was my score, Im not sure if I was playing right or whatever it is they do, but I went 56 and 1...

What I do on Garry's mod is make my own maps. You jsut like put a bunch of crap everywhere like furniture/people/vehicles and you save them and play them later. What I do is have zombie arenas. I take a CS:S map and get a big area and lock up all the entrences to it with trash cans or tons of filing cabnets. I then put a BUNCH of zombie everywhere and play until my computer crashes from all the character models :D

Well that name is also VERY against the rules for this forum and I just realized it so I deleted the shot...:eek:

But, was I playing right or what?

Mingebag: A mingebag is like a toiletary bag but has all the contents to a perfectly kept minge. The things likely to be kept in a mingeback include: a razor, waxing strips, perfume and no doubt, a little mirror :P

Thats the other deffinition, the real one is (as skidude said), not appropriate. But you can call them n00bs if you'd like.
 
Haha I have no idea what the other name is so I'm going to go check it out on the web... I'll probably run into some bad sites won't I? :P

Well I havn't clicked on it yet, but the family is in the room right now so if you guys could give me a review of the pictures I'd appreciate it :D
 
Skidude, the "right" way to play Garry's mod is mostly building stuff, build your own car and put a ragdoll in it. That kind of stuff.
 
I get the whole ragdoll part with the elastic and pully thing, but I have yet to learn how to build my own car...
 
One of my friend's friend made a robot out of containers and all sorts of crap. I also reacted to his "controller"... it was actually really awesome. Don't ask me how he did it though. Also, how do I get just a flat map? My friend, when he plays, just has a big flat map. When I play I have to use previously made maps like de_dust and cs_office...
