gateway 5464 and cpu upgrade

im upgrading my mom CPU and she has the gateway 5464. The motherboard is this

the processor support says intel core 2 duo at 800 Mhz is that the FSB? and does it have to be 800 or can it be higher?

also could you recomend a good CPU for multitasking? and general home use, no gaming right now her CPU is at 1.8GhZ which is unacceptable. IT is DRAGGING! im also going to upgrade the RAM

It is faster than the CPU you have and according to gateway the MB supports it.

your mobo support up to FSB 800, you can't go higher.
E5400 would be the best.
