Gateway 9550 video

How do you replace the video on a Gateway solo 9550 laptop? I don't have video to the laptop or the monitor and I know which keys to press to switch to monitor. Can the video be replaced on the motherboard and how?

its very unlikely that this would be possible. I know a few (old) acer notebooks have a removable graphics chip but that was mainly to make manufacture and repair of the units easier.
Nearly all notebooks have their graphics built into the mainboard and those that do have a removable graphics board will need a bios update that will allow the new graphics card to be detected.

Thanks for your quick response. I was hoping that I could fix my self but it sounds like I would have to send to Gateway and I checked. I would cost over 300 dollars since it's out of warranty.
