Gateway graphics card help please

Greetings all, First off...I must commend the creators of this site, it has a wealth of info, tips and how-tos which are fantastic. I'm new to the site and needed help purchasing a G-card for my pc. Don't know if my pc uses AGP or PCI card. System is as follows:

Gateway 310s Celeron 2.6 GHz desktop
256 mb w/ 34 to 40gigs (roughly) on the drive.
Build date is 11/03.

My mom won this pc 1 1/2 yrs ago...and we opened it up for the 1st time yesterday. Planning on going to Best Buy today to buy at least 256mb of more ram and @ least a decent graphics card to game a bit. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

From what I could find on the internet the Gateway 310s dont come with a agp slot. This makes your video card options limited. Your best bet is if you can find a geforce 5700LE pci. That pretty much the best PCI card that is made.
