Hello everyone 
this is my first time on this thread so I just wanted to say hi! I hope you all can assist me with this problem I am having. The laptop:Gateway M-1625 laptop,Windows Vista Home Premium. When I purchased it, it didn't contain any discs for anything. So the problem, the computer shuts down on its own when I turn it on. Sometimes I am able to log in but when I try to do anything it shuts off automatically. I have searched this problem and all the problems have been over heating. Well that is not the case with this laptop. I figured it was maybe something corrupted in the bios or something, so I just restored the laptop to factory settings, just like new. So starting from a clean slate I thought the problem would go away but it didn't. I have removed the battery and tried it only with the adapter but no go. So as of now I have no clue what else to do or try. Thank you in advance for the help, I really appreciate it. Also, sorry if this was too long or not enough information but if more is needed I will be more than happy to add it.

but if it is overheating any suggestions? Thanks for helping.
