I have a Gateway M-1625. My battery doesn't seem to last as long as it should.
For example, when it is not powered to an outlet. For example: 26% remains (15 minutes). I am planning on letting it die and then I am going to recharge it fully, and let it die. Hopefully this will work, but do you have any suggestions, before I decide to buy a new 70 dollar battery.
 
Try a power saver mode in your power configurations. Dim the screen when running on battery. These methods will help increase battery life but if your battery is old then it won't be a miracle cure.
