I have a project I am going to do using this laptops components and that involves the screen too. The problem is, one day, the screen totally went out. No light is emitted from it. I seen the picture faintly so I know its not the LCD itself. I have been doing a bit of research and the symptoms of the actually back light going out are very different from what I have so that lead me to believe that the inverter is at fault.
I have found a replacement here, with matching serial numbers:

That is the cheapest I could find.
I would like to know if there are any other ways of getting an inverter cheaper or other ways to fix my problem, thanks in advance.
