I was looking at the BFG GeForce 7800 video card, and it has GDDR3. Does this mean that that is what the card uses, or am I going to need anything special on my motherboard... other than the power and PCI-e slot?
Thats the type of ram on the video card, its what the card uses, you don;t need that type of ram, in fact they don;t even sell that ram as far as i know.
Yeah I'm posotive they don't sell RAM since the G stands for something that has to do with video (graphic maybe?), I was only asking cas I thought I saw other video cards that didnt have GDDR3, so maybe it required somethign else.
That's really just the type of RAM it has one it. As long as your computer supports the interface, it shouldn't matter what the video card has on it(type of RAM, etc etc...)
