well i have lost all faith in my 8800gt turning up-!

think it has been lost in post, paid for and lost :(

would the hd4850 be a beeter card than a msi 8800gt????

also what would it be like in crossfire on a asus p5k pro??

All ATI 48xx related reviews.

It is a much better card. And with crossfire it will performs awesome, but on your Mobo, the second lane is x4... This will take a lot of performance off

But a single ATI does good.

The 9800GTX+ is also good for $30 more, as it is a dual slot cooler, and you get NVidia support (drivers). But If you dont wanna spend the $30, get the 9800GTX+

If you gonna upgrade to a better mobo, and you will get a x16 lanes (both) then get the ATI

i was under the impression that they wer both X16???

no. The P35 does support crossfire but not at full speed.

:2 x PCIe x16 (blue @ x16 mode, black @ x4 or x1 mode) supports

The P5K has two PCI Express x16 slots, the blue one is routed to the northbridge’s 16 lanes and is at full speed all the time, the second slot coloured black runs off the southbridge at x4 speeds.

bummer, i know
