how much is that GeForce 6800 GT? is it a good graphix card? better then the ATI radeon 9600xt? and how much could i get it used for? i have a friend selling it and its been 3 months used, so is it a good vid card and how much would u buy it for if its 3 months used or is there a better one?

6800 GT? You can get a pretty good estimate at www.newegg.com. Howcome your asking about another card? Are you choosing between the two? (just GT, and GT OC are different, the OC one comes overclocked so it has better clocks, but you could just get the GT and OC it yourself and save some dollars). Yes its a good graphics card, its able to play the newest games with high settings. Yes its better than the 9600XT (thats one generation back). For the 6800GT OC used, I'd say about $340/50 USD. Not sure how much I would buy this for... I believe the 6800 Ultra is better.

See stores but generally in the ballpark of $280USD for a standard 6800GT. For the BFG model, tack on an extra $100 for bling-bling effect

Yes one can generically say it is good

better then the ATI radeon 9600xt?
By an order of magnitude

and how much could i get it used for?
See newspapers

Theres always a better one.

the refurbed ones on newegg were running just under 300, the new ones were over 300 for the most part....i considered one myself, but i went with an x800 xl for 250, and its stiff competition for the regular 6800 GT

Yea you'll burn allot of time if you continue to look for a 6800GT for the price of $150. You might consider looking at other cards like the 6600GT etc.

Also if you can find one cheap enough and don't expect stellar performance then the Radeon 9600XT will play all games available today at various settings. A Radeon 9800 Pro can be found for a few bucks more. although I think the 6600GT will run you over $200. but that would depend on where you buy and currency of course ;). An X700 would not be bad either at around that price and always check out the competitor (Nvidia). Google searches will be your best friend when purchasing a videocard also. Compare each card against other competitors cards in the same class. Read many, many reviews (spend a couple of days reading) and you'll be armed with the knowledge to make the right purchase.
