GeForce 6800GT question

Hi here!

Its my first post here! :)

I bought a cheap Nvidia GeForce 6800GT 256 GDDR3 on Ebay (242$) and the 6 pin power cable is missing. Any idea where I can buy it? Its the PCI Express model.

Another question about this card...

I heard that this card is on the heat side. What is a good and cheap alternative over the "stock" cooling fan on it? Easy to change?

Thank you all!

for the heat.. well, i have the XFX 6800GT ( tend to be the hottest 6800GT) and i have it cuite cool, because i have a exhaust Fan in the front bottom in my case.

and for the cable, just go to the nearest computer store, they should have one there :)

Ok I wouldn't worry about the temp?

I don't know what cooling you've got in your system nor the room ambient temp but there shouldn't be a problem, the stock 68GT coolers tend to do their job fine. You could always stress the card with some intensive gaming or loop a benchmark for a period of time, then exit and quickly enter the cards advanced settings and check the temperature tab. :)

no. if you dont overclock the card, youll be really fine with the stock cooling :)

my XFX is now at 50*C Idle ( after playing a game :D )

Good !! I'm not an overclocker! :)

What is your score in 3dMark 03 or 05 ?

I have an Antec SLK3000 with 2X120mm fans. I will prolly put some Zalman fans in it if I can find some! :) I already have a Zalman fan on my P4 3.0Ghz.
