GeForce FX5200 problems

running it in safe mode using the new card, I can't set the res.. It doesn't even recognise it's using a geforce, just says 'VGA'. Tried setting it to 640 though. Rebooted then same old problem.

Would Omega drivers be available for the GeForce FX5200?

Cromewell has a valid point tough... boot up with the fx5200 and the drivers installed in Safe mode.. i think you couldnt change the resolution because you didnt have drivers installed (Or did you have the drivers installed at that point?)

so, try to boot up with the fx5200 (with installed drivers) in safe mode, and then lower the resolution, and reboot the pc.

Hi,
new to these forums.
Just bought a used GeForce FX5200 T128 off another fourm. supposedly working. No drivers supplied. )

It is a thought you might have got a bum card! I have saw bum cards that were fine in PCI mode but once the drivers were installed and it kicks into AGP mode it would crash! ((Oh and one other thought, if you were using the onboard video to start with your board might not have ever had the chipset AGP driver installed, if this is the case the same thing will happen))
