Geforce go 7600 w/vista

I have an HP laptop with a Nvidia Geforce go 7600, and while it isn't the fastest thing out there, i can play Team Fortress 2 at close to max, and plenty of other games at reasonable quality, but awhile back i tried a 2d physics sandbox type game called phun and it looked quite odd. I played it off as a problem with the game itself since it was still in development and didn't think much about it. Then i tried playing stepmania, the DDR clone, and the same style of error showed up again. I was wondering if anyone has seen this style of error before or knows what might be causing it.

Were these Opengl games? These sometimes get buggy under certain drivers, you up to date with the Nvidia lappy drivers?

sure enough, you are right. I couldn't find an option to change the 3D setting on the old version, but on the new one which still had the problem, i was able to change it to using direct3d and it seems to work perfectly. Thanks for your help.
