Building my new PC, was wondering if I could get some input on whats better.

I would prefer whats actually better as far as stats and performance as opposed to opinion plz. Thx for your advice.

This PC will be for gaming mostly btw.

well they are pretty equal, top cards mentioned above are 450-600$ ea

ati's competing car is supposed to be upwards of 25% better performance wise up its release

Kk. But what about manuf?

I am quite confused on whats better...
XFX seems to be popular.

# XFX
# EVGA
# ALBATRON USA
# GIGABYTE
# ASUS
* BIOSTAR
* ECS
* FOXCONN
* Leadtek
* MSI
* PNY Technologies, Inc.
* Zogis

Well, the memory interface is very important. 256bit is high end, 512bit is top of the line, 128bit is for budget builds, anything less sucks. The speeds that the core and memory runs at is also another factor. The pixel pipelines is also another factor.

Before you make a buy, I need someone else's oppinion on this. Is the 7950GT faster then the x1950XT?

EDIT- NVM, the x1950xt is faster ;)

hm? What uses 512bit memory interface? The 8800gtx uses only a 384bit one. If it's the 7950GX2 you're talking about, it's actually just two 256bit interface on two cards glued into one.

IDK, they are all decent. I just look at the reviews for the card on newegg, and if they are good, then you can get the card, but if they are not so good, then don't get it. It all just depends on the card.

well the card you recommended seems nice but no reviews, also I never heard of (Diamond) as manfu. I am just really lost on what to pick for my new PC.

Yes, but it wont be out for several months after the G80 was released, so it's not a fair comparison. And there also suppose to cost alot more.

PCI-E. Do you mind telling me if 16 pipelines is really major diff from 24? or is that getting to high in price? Like whats the most important feature on video cards iyo.
Depends on the card.

The R600 will have a true 512Bit memory interface.
