Geil DDR problem

What are the specs of the RAM? If they run at different speeds or voltages then naturally the heat will be different.

both are GEIL DDR400 512mb and both the same timings, I run them on a p4 3ghz no OC.
Wait, so is one GEIL module hotter then the other? I thought you were comparing the GEIL to the PQI?

Are the timings and voltages the same for both the GEIL and PQI RAM?

Oh ok i see what happened. I guess I wantn't clear, I wasn't asking about the 2 512MB Geil sticks I was asking what Omega asked.

I used to have this 2 PQI's and replaced them with 2 GEIL's so my system is running only in 2 GEIL's the problem is it gives more heat compared to my previous 2 PQI's just asking this since GEIL cost more.

Again, you never answered our question. The reason the GEIL RAM modules are running hotter then the PQI's, may be because the GEIL RAM has a higher stock voltage and tighter timings. The only way to confirm that is to compare the specs of both the PQI and the GEIL.

You also didnt mention what the speed was for both, higher clocked RAM will cause it to run hotter as well.
