General Harddisc/drive question

Hey, i have a computer setup ready, which i will put together myself.
Including an AMD Phenom Quad core 3,4GHz processor and an ATI Radeon 5870 graphics card.

and my question is will the processor and graphics card be held back by the harddrive/disc transfer speed while playing a game thats saved to the harddrive/disc?

Only during loading, once the game has been loaded into memory it's not an issue anymore.

Great then any harddrive will do unless im in a hurry to get in
No loading can be as long as it wants as long as it doesnt hold back anything.
