Genuine Mac and Hackintosh question?

Hi,

I have had a hackintosh for about 6months and Love it I recently bought a Macbook pro and think its awesome! but the thing that baffles me is this:

- My hackintosh has Intel Quad-core with 8gb of RAM and ATI 1gb graphics etc
- My Macbook has Core 2 duo with 2gb (soon to be 4gb) and the built in card

I ran a test using Maya and found the laptop floored the hackintosh. The laptop hardly ever pauses or anything. Y is this?

This could be caused by quite a few different reasons -the OS being non-native on your "hackintosh" for one. Is the test you are running using single or multiple threads/cores? What Quad and Core 2 are they? If the test is only using a single thread/core and the Core 2 has a higher clock, then that could explain your findings.
