Geometry Wars

Has anyone ever played it? What do you think about it?

What is your high score?

I just bought the game a few weeks ago, its such a simple game yet its so much fun to play.

QUESTION:

How do you describe the game to other people? I try describing it to my friends and I say "You go around and shoot shapes, its fun" and they look at me like I have tentacles coming out of my eyes.
 
It's addicting but I've only played it on PG3. I'd describe it as Asteroids on crack or something like that. Just mix geometric shapes, bullets, flashing lights and a hippy and you've got Geometry Wars.
 
I try to play atleast one game daily, it's my favorite XBL arcade game... sooo addictive. My highscore isn't that great 600,000 but I wasn't online for it to go on the leaderboards so it still says 477,000 :/ atleast I have the proof it was higher than that with the "score 500,000" achievement.

I usually don't describe it to people, words make it seem boring "Yeah, you're this shape, and you go around and shoot other shapes." I usually just tell them to come over and experience it themselves.

LOL yeah, ive played it on X360 and yes its one nutty game :P
 
Yeah I've had it for a while, it truly is a great game. My highscore is 4.5 million and I have all the achievements. Also I bought Pac-Man today on the Marketplace, it is very good.

we need more games like that, enuogh of obliterating enemy soldiers with extreme force, blood and gore, we need more good old time fun, arcade style games like that, a good one of those can sometimes be a lot better than any FPS

Agreed, thats why I love Geometry wars. It is so simple yet so fun, and addicting.

I watched k4rn4ge's video of him scoring 32Million (or some oddly high number like that) but yeah, I'll check yours out too!
 
Yeah I just scored 6.7 million today! But yeah watch K4rn4ge's and YourExWife's videos, they both are gread videos to help everyone.
 
The videos are all over the Internet. I know alot of the top players, and was actually playing with K4rn4ge on Halo 2 the other day. The videos are all over Youtube and Google Video. Just do a search for"Geometry Wars"
