Get ATI 5000 series or wait?

I did mention the resolution i played at. bear in mind my cpu is also overclocked up to 3.8ghz from 2.8ghz.

Well my system + a 5770 can max out crysis. 1280x1024 with 4xaa. i get ~30fps on average. But yes i guess the facts were distorted.

Considering my rig will run 19x12 8xAA @ 70FPS that's still likely in a CPU bottleneck... I'm pretty sure they could blow up that res to 3-6 monitors without AA and be fine. Doesn't sound like an exaggeration to me.

Well yes a new CPU would help. I'm saving for a Core 2 Quad. Won't bother with anything newer right now.

im buying a XFX 5850 black which is a nasty card and will be for a while i suggest buying a 5000 series card
