Get this?

The difference between a 10k HDD and a 7200rpm HDD isn't actually all that great.. But it should help alittle so if you got the cash, burn it. :)

(though i agree that you should maybe wait abit)

If I wait, I will buy 2x of the 74Gb models and put them as RAID 0 array

I know, i saw that. :P

Sounds like a plan. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I envy your rig.. Crysis should run beautifully on it. :)

People really don't notice the increase in performance that much. That's what i've picked up from some of the more knowledgeable people on here at least.

It makes sense. The main gaming apparature is the GFX card, followed by the RAM and CPU. The HDD merely plays a supporting role.

Wait. Your 250GB will be fine for the mean time. In fact, it will be fine forever. In my personal opinion, you'll have wished you wouldn't have spent so much on your computer a few years down the road.

If you're looking solely for the wow factor, get Raptors in Raid 0. Even better, Raptor Xs in Raid 0. Just remember that Raptors make more noise and heat, especially two of them.

I have an E6850 I will consider this later, do you think I should just use my WD SE16 250Gb until I decide?

Why not? It's not like buying a small capacity 10k rpm HDD is going to make your gaming experience a ton better.

Not so sure about the game running better, from what i've read, having a faster HD will really just help with HD tasks, like the initial loading of a level, loading windows, etc.
