Getting a Moniter for my PC/PS3, cant decide between these 2.

Depends what slots are on your video card.. Also, if you need one closer to the table surface, or a little bit of rise. Similarly, what features you're definitely going to need and appreciate more than others. Personally, I need a monitor with a slight lift to it because I like things eye level and less strain on my neck. Also, my desk has a downward incline where the monitor goes, so it would be hard to position a lower profile, even though the size is nice. I doubt a half to full inch will make that much difference to you long run though. I'd go with 2nd or 4th pick personally.

They are all fairly similar. I'd probably just go with the Asus VH238H because it has the most reviews and best rating. That's usually how I choose when specs and price are evenly matched.

either the $179 HDMI or the $189 HDMI

so:

or

@loophole - ASUS monitors are the best.

I need to pick between these monitors. I am new to this stuff and need to pick between these:

Edit: Im leaning towards the $199 one.

Walmart has a 32 inch TV monitor for $229.98, and before anyone tells me that this will not work, please do some research, because It does... and the guns and characters are huge. http://www.walmart.com/browse/TV-Vi...2594439&search_sort=4&selected_items=+&depts=

you wont like the results, get a monitor thats smaller so that when your sitting next to it you wont be dwarfed by it. id suggest anything from 20-27 inch, but anything larger...and it gets to be just too damn big. size isnt everything, look at the amount of pixels, and imagine how much tearing you will see at that size... then again if your sitting across the room from it, it may be ok.

I guess some people like small things, and some people like big things, I have had up to 141 inches of diagonal screen on a five monitor system and had no problems, in fact the scrolling from one to the other, is wonderful, one keyboard, one trackball and five monitors. If they were computer monitors, the cost would be at least six to eight thousand dollars vs $1300.00 or so with my system. Thank God for common sense and Walmart............

I have two Dell monitors, one 19 CRT and one 19 lcd as well, both work fine, there was a time when Dell made great computers, but there was also a time when Netscape was a browser. Can you say with a straight face and not laugh, that a Dell Alienware is bought by people with intelligence? You mention the monitor that you do have, but never mentioned if you have ever hooked up to a new HDMI high resolution 32 to 40 inch combo monitor (TV, computer, DVD player, and game console monitor)or do you hook up to a different monitor for every one of these devices? See the fact is that computer monitors are for people who still think in the box. Note, Apple is coming out with the first combo TV, computer unit soon...............I wonder what you will say then? of coarse, I am already there..........................

32 inches of monitor for $248.98 at Walmart........I hate to keep plugging Walmart, but if you want to spend more for less, be my guest.
