Getting Data off a dell(foxcomm) hard drive

hi all,
im trying to get data off a hard drive from a dell inspiron 6000 laptop.

the laptop is dead.
the problem is the hd has a very unusual connecter - FOXCONN instead of the usual ide pins
so obviously it wont go into my external enclosure
anyone got any ideas?
cant find a suitable adapter on the web
any brainwaves would be appreciated:good:

Usually laptop hard drives have a proprietart connector attached to them, just remove it and you'll see the ide pins.

this one dosent,its a totally different connecter

its actully sometimes called a dell ide connecter

What happens when you remove this adapter? What do you see?

you were right!! i thought this connecter was actually part of the drive.didnt know it could be removed.
