Getting my Pc to work again

I recently changed my broadband to virgin from B.T.
Problem is when installing my new router I forgot about my PC which is in another room and as I can no longer wire my PC to my hub I now have no network it and cannot use it for internet connection.
I am not really computer savvy so any simple explanation would be welcome.

What specific hub/router device do you have? Is there still a network cable that goes into the location where the hub is from the other room?

Usually you can throw in a wireless adapter (they come in USB, PCI or PCI-E varieties) to connect to the hub via wifi.

Otherwise you should just be able to use any existing cable into one of the LAN ports of the device.
