Hey guys, as the title says, Im getting ready for Christams to assemble my new case + gpu (Sapphire HD3870) and I want to make sure that my PSU can power it. And I know this is probably the first thing I sould've looked at first before I bought the HD3870 :o .

This is my PSU:

Thanks for any comments! :)

BTW: I'm not overclocking and I only have one HD and one Optical Drive.

Yeah, it look good. :) Hey Oscar, you gonna OC that 3850 when you get everything worked out? It's the same chip as the 3870, with just a reduced core clock, so it should be able to get to 70 speeds easily, I just want to know how far it can go past that.. as i'm seriously considering one.

The 3850 has a hard time getting the 3870 clocks, may be because of the voltage, or ram im not sure. Also the cooling is alot better on the 3870. IF the prices go back to normal its only about $30-40 more than the 3850 (512mb) i think.. Also people are getting the 3870 stable @ 1ghz with volt mods ... i can have mine stable at 860mhz and thats the stock bios limit! :D [/brag]

I think that PSU should be fine, as these cards dont require alot of power.

PS: i dont know if its just me, but i went back to the 7.11 drivers. 7.12 did give me better FPS in Crysis and 200 points in 3dmark. BUT i couldn't play DiRT, Test Drive Unlimited, or GTA SA as it wasn't putting a load on the GPU. I hope they get these problems worked out, but the 7.11 is working fine for me :)

Ah man. I was reading around the reviews, and they never actually mentioned trying to overclock the 50, just that you could. I guess I'll give google a round, to see if this is always the case. Curses! :D
