Hi there, I've been playing Age of Mythology on my little laptop, and it seems that it has adjusted the display of... everything. I now have two 1-inch black edges that I don't know how to get rid of. What can I do to get rid of these edges, and is it possible to have this done automatically next time Kronos stomps me into the ground? Many thanks.

Do these black edges appear even when the computer is booting? if so its probably a problem that your mainboard has developed and it isn't detecting the LCD panel properly.
If its only in the game you may want to set your game resolution to the one that your desktop is set to if it isn't already.

When I (re)start the computer it uses the entire width of the screen up until the Windows XP user chooser screen. That screen already shows up cropped. I'm certain that the problem was caused by the game I mentioned, and hope that there's an easy way to make full use of my screen again... Thanks.

ok well its not a problem with your mainboard. i would uninstall your current graphics card drivers and then either reinstall the ones you have or the latest ones if you dont already have then. it would appear that you have your resolution set at an unsupported value or that there is a problem with the drivers.
