Getting Slack out of startup (Win10)

I installed Slack and I don't want the dang thing in startup, but when I go to the startup tab in task manager it isn't there, even tho it runs on startup every time.

How do I get this thing out of startup?

Do you have an actual windows start menu or are you using windows 10 default start menu? If you install classic shell start menu, then you can access the startup folder in the start menu and see if its listed in there.

You'll have to enable hidden files and folders but you can navigate to this directory and see if its listed.

C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Username would be what your username is. You won't see the appdata folder unless you show hidden folders. To do that, open windows explorer, click on view menu and check hidden items box.
