Getting Your Website Noticed

Hi

I have just set up a new website and was wondering how best to get it noticed (registering with search engines), is there a site which I can use and it go onto a lot of search engines or do I need to register with each individual one.

Also is stumbleupon also worth signing up to

I think you have to sign up with each one and it takes a few weeks to be listed.

Just put link on everything you go onto as well.

register with http://www.mybloglog.com and http://www.blogcatalog.com.. they will give you some traffic..

Submit it into google + yahoo for free... but it will takes a fair amount of searches to get onto the high pages

If one person links to your website, it will get picked up by search engines on its own. It helps to speed up the process by registering it with popular search engines like Google.

Also, Google has a nice Webmaster service feature that will help you if you have a Gmail account.

Also, StumbleUpon is great, but if you promote your own website with it, they will ban you.
