GHIII register online?

Whenever I try to register GHIII online from the games start up it says the information is invalid. I have checked and double checked and its all correct! Is there a way to register outside of the game so I can online play?

I've never seen a benefit registering stuff. Can someone name a few? I've been told for warranty purposes and all that, but honestly, i've had warranty services carried out without registering my products.

pc version....I forgot to put the dashes in the serial number
