Ghost Data?..

I recently had a registry fault on my computer. and wasn't able to load windows properly
so when i restored windows. i had 60GB of invisible data on my computer.
i can't access it or delete it. and i cannot format the harddrive because its my backup or data drive.
what should i do to remove this data?.. or at least view it as it was important information?..

use partition magic.. it may see the error and fix it... if not do the format and partiton in the window environment.
