Ghost letters in 19" ACER

May be a strange question, but my wife's 19"Acer LCD has the typefont ghost, or double type, like eye glasses out of focus.

If you look at any font type closely you can see a double image or side by side of the letter.

Not just in the type like Word or Word Perfect, any type from any source if you look close, you will see a double image.

Any relationship to the electronics or maybe the lcd screen itself is out of focus.

The color is great and the images are clear, only the font type face is ghostly.

Any Ideas?

I replaced the VGA cable with a another heavyer cable from a 15" DELL LCD that did not have ghost, but there is still ghost in the 19" ACER.
This is my first ACER LCD and so far I'm not impressed. The two 15" DELL I have and the 17" Viewsonic LCD have a clear typeface, maybe it's the 19" size or because it's a Acer, either way I'm not impressed.

Could it be the video board enhanceing the ghost, or the second VGA cable is as crappy as the first one.

Also, the font on the ACER looks like the "Playbill" typeface for everything, even on the desktop. Is there a way to change the startup font type to say, "Times."

Thanks

Ensure you have the latest graphics card drivers.

Make sure you have set the resolution to a native settings.

Ensure you have set the refresh rate correctly too, try 75Hz.
