Ghostery vs Disconnect?

So i've heard that Ghostery is not a safe choice and they collect user data and share with 3rd parties, but Disconnect on the other hand from what i've heard, goes by lists and don't detect them by itself. I haven't read their Privacy Policy, though.

What's your opinion/experience?

I have used ghostery for about 2 years almost now. I have heard that they do share userdata. But I don't believe it myself until I see the proof.
