Does having a very good processor (3.60 HT) and having a 2 gig ram, help an nvidi Geforce 6800 perfrom better than a 3.0 processor and 1 Gig ram?

even just a litle? or a lot?

thanks.

Well, I think you should get a slightly higher score in 3DMark.

EDIT: You could see an improvement if you had a Duron 800 MHz with 256 MB RAM and then switched to P4 3.6 GHz with HT with 2 GB of RAM.

2 Gigs of RAM will help if you're playing games with lots of loading, such as most MMOs(EverQuest, WoW, etc.)

3.0 to 3.6 is a pretty big jump, but I'd go for an AMD 4000+ or a 3800+ maybe.

it'll help a bit, but you wont see a big difference in it, once you hit 1gb ram difference is small
depends whats running in the background. If you have a tons of apps such as norton, then the difference between 1GB and 2GB would be a pretty big one.

And going from a 3.0 to a 3.6 would be a noticable difference, although it wont be a huge increase.

Yeah, you will notice those extra 600mhz. When I o/ced to 3.95, i noticed a big difference in 3DMark etc.

thanks.

thanks people.

But im have a 512 Ram, 2.8 ghz and a Integraded 64 MB Graphics card.

lol

im jumping to a 2 gig ram, 3.6 ghz and a 6800 Video card.

Guess its going to be a lot better.
