Gigabyte GA-EP45C-DS3 VS Asus P5E3

Asus P5E3 is X38/X48 chipset, better than P45.
Both Asus and Gigabyte are good brand, but personally prefer Gigabyte
 
I would never buy ANY motherboard other than ASUS.

Iv been running on ASUS motherboards since i started building computers. And yes iv ventured out into cheap companies like ECS and FoxConn and was not pleased with them.

Iv yet to recieve a bad ASUS motherboard. Hell, on my old A8N-SLi Deluxe i managed to get over 380mhz x 7 stable. Which is absolutely amazing.
 
personally i prefer gigabyte, but you're comparing a gigabyte P45 vs. an ASUS x38, which is a bunch of rubbish. if you're going to compare mobo manufacturers, at least compare the same chipset per board manufacturer. IMHO, you need to do ALOT more homework before you actually choose a board that suits your needs, if not all you're going to do is waste your money.
