So Im looking at this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128048 for my first build and at first Im thinking this board seems pretty good; It can take DDR3 so I can upgrade when DDR3 comes down in price.
However, I see in the specifications that it can only support 1066 mhz of DDR3. Now, I thought the whole point of DDR3 was for that speed to get higher? Is there a point to having a board that excepts DDR3, but only at that speed, which DDR2 can already do? Or do I have this completely ass backwards?
Thanks!
