Hello all.

I noticed this motherboard was a very popular board on these forums so I thought I'd ask here. Where do you guys download your software for it from? Such as chipset drivers, sound drivers, LAN drivers etc. As the main Gigabyte UK website is absolutely shocking for speed and reliability. I download the drivers and about half way through they stop responding or send extremely slow.

Also, how do you guys go about flashing your bios on this motherboard as I know there are various ways of doing it. If you do it via your desktop using software what software do you use and where do you download it from? How do you know which is the latest bios release for this motherboard as I noticed it works in F6, F10 etc. Is the F number which is the highest the latest?

Thank you for reading and for any help in advance.

Best regards,

Breaks.

Yeah, the Gigabyte web site is extremely slow!

The only drivers I've needed came on the CD with the motherboard, I haven't had to download any off the tinternet yet.

The motherboard CD comes with a BIOS flashing programs that allows you to do it through Windows. So no Floppy Drive is needed, I haven't used it thouhg, as you should only update your BIOS as a last resort.

I have the CD too however there have been a fair few version releases since the ones on the CD and having all up-to-date software is in most cases a bonus :).

I like to keep my BIOS up-to-date also as they always release new BIOS's for a reason. In most cases at least one thing is fixed so I find it's just nice to have the latest release.

I wish they'd fix their bloody mirrors :\.

Yeah, I think there are a few versions of the CD though, some newer than others.

It's a pain isn't it, You'd think they'd have some hald decent ones!

It doesn't look pretty but it works quite well.

Every Tiwanese mobo manufacturer's website is silly slow.

You can get the chipset drivers directly from intel, I gave Kornowski a link for them a few days ago. The rest can probably be found else where as well but if the drivers on the CD work why fix them? :P
