hi i recently bought a gtx 260 g. card and about 4 days later the computer wouldn't turn on..... so i pulled the card out and thoroughly examined it and i haven't got any pics as my camera keeps blurring them at that close but what i can see is it looks like all the solder joints in the highlighted area are rusted somehow. note they werent there when i got it, i may have bought it second hand but it was never used until i had it and i also examined it thoroughly upon recieving it.
i am starting to believe that it is fried. well not fried but the damaged solder is causing a short and whenever i have the 6-pin power connectors attached the comp wont boot. it attempts to power on but fails.
what i really want to know is should i attempt at resoldering all 69 solder joints most of which i cant even see - as there is no warranty left and i dont want to pay for someone to solder something i can do for free. thanks. any input appreciated
