Gigabyte Intel X58 series

Hey everyone ^_^

I'm thinking of making my own gaming comp cause i'm sick of the piece of crap sitting on my desk.

I'm just wondering what's the best for it's money gaming motherboard. I came across the Gigabyte Intel X58 series and was wondering if this would be a wise choice for a motherboard?

Or is there a better motherboard that i do not know about?

Where did you come across the X58? I believe that's going to be used with Intel's upcoming new CPU.

I came across it from the official gigabyte site, see for yourself. It has 3 PCI-E slots 2x 16s and 1x 8.

Yeah, but good luck getting one as this stage. There are a few demo and pre-release ones floating around at places like tomshardwre.com. But there is nothing available to the wider community yet.

The X58 and Core i7 is suppose to be launched later next week.
