Gigabyte UD5 X58 question

I'm building a new gaming rig and heard a lot of good comments on the gigabyte UD5 model. I still don't know what to buy between Asus, Gigabyte or Evga.. but after a quick look on the specification of the UD5.. Ive read the following that we can find on their main site..

http://www.giga-byte.ca/Products/Mot...me=GA-EX58-UD5

it says at the bottom, in the notes section.. (Note 2) For Windows Vista/XP 32-bit operating system only.

.. does that mean that it won't run on xp/vista 64-bits? I'm kinda confused..

thanks!

ug, yah your right, 32 bit only, I don't get this at all

Edit: people are running 64 bit OS on it with no problems, I don't get their note.

The X58 chipset does not limit 64-bit operating systems. The reason Gigabyte might say that is because they have no x64 drivers or their Windows OC program only supports 32-bit. And you really do not need either of those.
