Hi,

For those with Gigabyte boards, I was wonderig what knoweldge you have of these two features. This thread is to discuss the advantages, disadavnatges of these to features and share past experiences or inofrmation about them.

In case you are not familiar, C.I.A (CPU Intelligent Accelerator) changes the CPU speed acording to system demands at any given time. Note that easy tune mentions this function. I guess this would take strain of the CPU when it is not under load...

EasyTune (5) allows for various overclocking options using software and a friendly interface.

Please share! Both seem as though they could be very valuable, but also very problematic or even damaging.

EasyTune's change is temporary, it doesn't stick around after a restart :(

I've heard of it causing instability, but I only use it to change the SmartFan settings, so I can't really give my opinion.

If you're thinking about Overclocking, don't use the CIA, or Easytune, the best way to do it is through the BIOS, I've heard that doing it through either of the other options can cause problems!

Plus, using the BIOS means it's saved every time you boot! ;)
