"Go-to" Software for Repairing Computers?

So let's say someone comes up to you with a computer they deem to be "broken" or having problems. You know, the ordinary stuff like "it's really slow" or "I can't connect to the internet" or "it crashes when I ______".

What software do you rely on to make their computers run better and/or function again? I usually carry around CCleaner, Defraggler, Spybot S&D, Avira, Parted Magic, Trinity Rescue Kit, and Offline NT. Is there anything else you guys would suggest that could be of value to repair basic home system problems?

Hiren's Boot CD. Has every utility you ever need.

The earlier versions used to have full version software on there which obviously was pirated. The newer releases now only include freeware software.

Depends on what it is doing, and what it is running.

Generally, I have a Malewarebytes installer, Parted magic/gparted, Ubuntu 10.04 (only for live boot), DOS boot, DBAN, Ccleaner, memtest , and Ultimate Boot CD all on my flashkey (that I keep on me all the time). Can generally fix anything with a windows system, and if it is a maleware attack that malewarebytes can not fix, I either post up for john to fix, or reinstall depending on how the friend wants to proceed. Got more than a few of my friends running Linux because of their more than often issues with maleware. Not one of them has come forward with an issue with that either.
