I was given a computer to look at but it's not doing much of anything for me
When I boot it up, this Norton/Gateway goback junk comes up. My room mate has a newer copy on his computer and it's given us all grades of problems, so I already didn't like it...
Anyway, just as it starts, it says something about corrupt data on drive #1(only has one drive, so C: ) It only says to press OK for it to try and correct it, but after that it just locks up. Mouse will move, but nothing else, no HD activity or anything(waited a good 10 minutes) I tried again but this time tried to get into the setup/configuration dealy for Goback, but I got the same error.
Does anyone know a way around this? I tried finding info online about it, like to disable Goback, but you have to press space and go through it's little setup(which I apparently can't access...) I'm beginning to suspect a bad drive...
Oh yeah, and formatting this drive is not an option.
