God Damn, its tidy now!

After some inpiration from Here I decided to have a go at it.

So I started off by taking all my cables out, broke the wires from the case speaker (Thank god for soldering irons :D) then pulled them all through the back. Now i cant hide them directly behind the side panel, there no room there, so they are hidden behind the HDD rack.

Now, Before:

Drumroll please.... After!

Quite the difference!

Heres a better pic without the side panel:

Oh, and when I said I didnt have room to put them behind the other side panel, heres what it looks like where I put the cables.....

Quite the mess :D (Cant see it anyway lol)

So, after 3 hard hours of cable tiding (Most of that spent trying tosort the speaker :P ), heres my system:

So, what do yall think?

BTW, my Mobo used to idle at 42C (Just heatsinks, no fans, quiet but hot)
Now, 34C! Ah, the power of cable tiding!

Thanks! I need to get a short UV SATA cable, I can get a 4" cable from frozen CPU, but it costs so much to send over here....

very nice job indeed, thats a nice decrease in temp for your motherboard too i like cool running computers. helmie u seem to be in good shape with your newly lowered motherboard temp and your big typhoon. awesome.

Dude. Thats a nice job! You have inspired me (I'm serious here!) to do a better job with my wiring. I would show you my current pc wire problem, but I would probably be banned for abuse to my computer:rolleyes:

Anywayz, when I get my new computer I'm going to do a job like yours! Hopefully my case will have some room behind the panel... What cases do you guys recommend anyways? I know a lot of ya'll like the Tsunami's, but any others?

I also just rewired my case... do you mind If I post a pic here?

Nice job. My temps went down also.

Before:

After:

Temps dropped form 37 idle to 32. Load should be even better

Oopsy... I must have missed something... I have no cd drive :P

EDIT: Ok thats not cool... right after I plug the IDE cable further in my temps went up 2 degrees

Thanks... now that I've got it all tidy I'm regretting I didnt buy a window and UV light. Oh well, thats what case modding is for ;)

Helmie, I have the same case as you. (Or I think I do... TT tsunami?) There is little room in the back, but if you just stuff it in there I think your temps will go down even more. Stuffing all the wires in the HDD rack doesnt do much because your blocking the flow of the intake fan. My panel is bulging, but you can fit it in there :)

lol

Yeah, the Big Typhoon wasnt on right, too loose! Once it was tightened up, the temps dropped to 28C

I have the Thermaltake Soprano, its basicly the same as the Tsunami, but it has a plastic door, and its made of steel not alluminium. The bonus with the Soprano is that you get complete tools free fun! :D

I have the Thermaltake Soprano - And i did try to put the wires back there, but eben with one wire it wouldnt fit (Damn molex connectors lol)
Also, all my wires are behind it, so theres nothing blocking the fan. The ONLY connectors that you can see now are the opticals, HDD and the wire going to the window fan.

Well i didnt put it on since tomorrow im getting my 300GB SATA, and if i tried to make that look neat then i woul just have to take it off on monday. So it doesnt look as good with it just lying there.

Nice Job, but i'm embarrassed to say that your 'before' looks better than my current!
Thats because i organized my cables to look like that a few weeks ago, then i realized that i should put them in the back of the case.

Oh, I see :P I cut myself a couple of times trying to sneek the power conectors behind the PSU. Damn sharp aluminum.

EDIT: Now that my rigs back on the floor my temps are ocasionaly dropping to 28 C... thats cold. I dont really trust the software though.

Ah, are you running yours through the hole right next the the PSU? My PSU is a server class, so its a little longer, meaning I cant get the cables through there!

Yeah, I snuck them under the PSU and through here:

Do you guys think I should polish the inside of my case?
