GoDaddy Questions

I have a domain listed in my domain account but the actual site will be hosted under a friends account, also from GoDaddy. Should I make the DNS as default hosted or default parked? Also, GoDaddy tells me that there is a problem with the IP/Server settings. He is having trouble getting the sites to link up with my domain. Any suggestions on how this should be set up?
 
I believe that since everything is contained at godaddy you can use default hosted. If that doesn't work use parked and put the IP address of your friends account in the dns setup page.
