Going from vista to 7

I have an oldish HP laptop that has vista. Its full of crap and really slow, so its time for an upgrade. I want to put windows 7 64 bit on it (has vista 32 now). I was just wanting to know if the laptop can handle 7 64, even though its running 32 bit vista at the moment.

Cpu: Core 2 duo 2.40GHz
RAM: 4GB

Core 2 Duo are 64bit so yes you can install Windows 7 X64.

Going from Vista to 7 is a nice upgrade.
