going from windows 8 back to windows 7

can someone help me go back to windows 7 like my computer came out of the box. im having alot of trouble. wont let me do recovery or anything please help.

Download the specific Windows 7 ISO you have a license for (sticker on the bottom of the laptop). Then just format your hard drive (after backing up anything you need to keep), and install the drivers from your laptop manufacturers support website.

I guess you've never installed Windows from scratch. Follow this guide then.

Can I jump in and ask a question here, My laptop like many others did not come with a Windows CD, it is located on the HD under "Recovery (D)" how is this carried out after a format?

To use the recovery partition press F8 before Windows boots and choose Repair Your Computer. Go through the prompts and cancel any automatic repairs. Then choose advanced options and the bottom option should be a system recovery option.

Some systems may have a special key to press on boot to access recovery, but normally the first method works.

Just note that if you ever do an install from scratch with a Windows DVD or delete that partition you can no longer use the recovery option.
