Alienware computers are nice for gaming as long as you configure them correctly. Even so, they are overpriced and you could get a much better computer if you built it yourself.

Alienware is a total rip off. You're much better off building it yourself.

I agree alienware is way overpriced, your basically paying for the name. I have a friend who bought a computer from them in 2004 and he wasn't too happy with the service either. I just bought a Core 2 Duo system, from a company I found on google avadirect, but I found another place that had cheaper prices, if you like to configure a system yourself check this place out

There are more reputable system makers like Ibuypower and Cyberpowerpc if you must have a prebuilt system.

Yes, most likely. But they are still over priced. Read up on some online tutorials about building you own computer and then do it yourself.

When buying an Alienware, you're paying for the brand. Sure, they have nice cases, good build quality and good components, but you'd be able to do the same thing yourself for cheaper. Find out exactly what is in the Alienware you're looking that then see how much it would be to build the same system yourself.
