good antivirus

hey ppl, got a lil question.

could anyone tell me wich antivirus i should take? i already had norton, but it really slows down my computer, anyone better ideas?

nah, i mean, a friend of mine had norman or something, and he says it aint really slowing down....
 
There's no useful antivirus. I never had one and never had viruses either. But I saw a lot of heavily virused computers even though there were antiviruses on them.
An antivirus is pain in the OS, so try running your computer without one, and scan your system from time to time with an online virus scanner.
 
iight, but r u sure online ones r reliable? and do they remove viruses if they find one?
and if so, wich one do u advise?
 
all anti-virus s/w will slow down ure computer, do u have it running all the time? if so, try disabling it and just running a full system scan a couple of times a week. However if you want a decent Antivirus package try Panda its great. If its still to slow try defragging your Hard Drive and cleaning it up a bit
 
Good Free Antivirus

I have selected a whole lot of great antivirus that are all free of charge and have no spyware or adware. They can be found at the Free Antivirus Download Directory. I personally use AVG antivirus and i find it better than norton even.

If anyone has any suggestion for the site then please send them to me on the site.
 
no you need an antivirus program i use zonealarm internet security it is a firewall antivirus and spyware killer there is next to no slowdown
