Good/Bad Combo Deal?

Hey can anyone tell me if this would be a bad combo deal?

Combo

I am looking for a gaming computer that can also run the internet quite fast. I will probably replace the RAM with 8GB. I know I will need other parts with it, but if I can get this combo deal, it would really help my budget.

I found what I think is a better combo deal, but I would like some feedback.

The second one isn't that bad. However, I would avoid the entire combo package unless every component listed within it was great.

-Your power supply is "okay" (850w is unnecessary for this build).
-You do not need the after-market cpu fan unless you are planning on over-clocking, not sure if you are.
-It might be better to wait for the new bulldozer AMD modules in June.

However, on the plus side
- Your case is amazing
- SSD/HDD combo is sick
-8GB of great RAM
-Great GPU

This may appear cheap, but now you must add in at least another $230 for a monitor and OS. You might want to look into a build without the SSD and after-market CPU fan with a better PSU.

Doesn't look too bad though.

P.S. I love that case...
 
Yeah I knew I probably wouldn't need the fan or even the SSD. If I could take both of those off for a monitor and OS, I seriously would, it would be awesome. I love case too, it's pretty sick. Is the 850w just too much for the build? Like I could go with a cheaper and not as powerful one?
 
Slightly cheaper 750w more reliable and better one yes

try corsair, xfx, silverstone, or pc power and cooling.
 
Alright thanks. Also, can you help me look for a little cheaper but still good quality GPU? The one from the combo is too expensive and I'm putting together my own build.
 
 
Its only a 10 dollar discount. That card is okay, it will run your games on medium for the most part. Maybe high on a less intensive game. SCII would run smoothly on it.

Check and see if ultimate is a must for you. Otherwise, drop to a cheaper OS version.

Your 1GB 6950 isn't a bad choice but if you spend the extra $30 bucks you get a 2gb 6950. The difference is that the 2gb version allows you to go into its BIOS and unlock its shaders, which in turns makes it become a 6970 (which are over $300). In essence the extra $30 isn't a bad deal for what you get. Otherwise I would drop to a 6870 and save the cash, unless you really want the extreme series GPUs, but really don't want to spend the extra cash then get the 6950 1 GB version.

Nice case. The only thing I would save money on is the keyboard if you desperately have to. Hopefully prices drop in the next few months.
 
Yeah that's what I thought, thanks. The keyboard will definitely be an after thought buy I think, or maybe an upgrade. Hopefully I can get the monitor cheap or just use my tv until i get more money for a nice monitor.

On the cases, I like the Tempest EVO, but my friend(Manakore) has it and I don't want to be a copycat.
On the RAM, I don't really need the 1600 Ripjaws because my components only run at 1333, and I'm not getting this build really soon, I'm just trying to start researching as much and soon as possible.
On the PSU, what are the big differences between mine and the ones you posted?
 
I'm assuming he won't want the tempest EVO, since that's what I have (He's an RL friend of mine). Otherwise I would have suggested it already (I love this case).
